• Reports: If you submit a report, we store details like location (latitude/longitude), descriptions, photos, and hashtags you provide.
• Device Stuff: We might collect basic info like your browser type or IP address to keep things running smoothly.
• Offline Data: When you’re offline, reports are saved locally on your device until you’re back online—then they sync to our servers.

2. How We Use Your Info

We use your data to:

• Power the app—letting you report galamsey and see community updates.
• Share reports with authorities and taskforces to stop illegal mining.
• Improve GalamseyGuard by analyzing how it’s used (anonymously, of course!).
• Send you updates or alerts if you’ve opted in (no spam, promise!).

3. Who We Share With

We don’t sell your info—ever. We only share it when necessary:

• Authorities: Reports may go to government agencies or taskforces fighting galamsey.
• Service Providers: Trusted partners (like hosting services) help us run the app, but they’re bound to keep your data safe.
• Legal Reasons: If the law requires it, we’ll comply, but only as a last resort.

4. Your Choices

You’re in control:

• Delete your account anytime—just email us.
• Opt out of notifications in your settings.
• Reports are public by design, but you can stay anonymous by not linking them to your account.

5. Keeping It Safe

We use strong security (like encryption) to protect your data. Offline reports stay on your device until synced, and we do our best to keep our servers secure. But no system is perfect, so we’ll let you know if anything goes wrong.

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use basic cookies to keep you logged in and make the app work. No creepy ads or tracking here—just the essentials.

7. Kids

GalamseyGuard isn’t meant for kids under 13. If we find out a child’s data was collected, we’ll delete it right away.

We might update this as the app grows. We’ll let you know via email or a notice in the app if anything big changes.
